Wow…what a weekend!
After having a day to somewhat relax from the busy weekend, I am reflecting back on Friday and Saturday and many thoughts come to mind. Every dance and solo did so well and I am so happy with the results.
I hope that everyone realizes the IMPORTANCE of working as a team, whether it be IN CLASS or AT COMPETITION- knowing the dance steps, using your face to perform onstage, coming to class ready, being on time for class, coming to competition ready an hour before hand, helping one another out with a dance step etc. We have some things to work on in the coming weeks to make our dance pieces even stronger and I am very excited for the upcoming festivals.
We spend so much time together throughout the year, I believe that we are more than a team…we are a DANCE FAMILY. I know at times in class and at competition, I get a bit firm with you, but it’s not because I don’t care…it’s moreso because I DO CARE! There was several times this weekend when I was on the side of stage, just beaming with PRIDE (yes…I teared up more than once too!) I hope ALL OF YOU are proud of yourselves and of your DANCE FAMILY. I’M SO PROUD OF MY DANCE KIDS!!! ♥
